This website is built to be usable by everyone.

Aura Luxury Villas is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard referenced by Greek law 4727/2020 and EU Directive 2016/2102.

Conformance target: WCAG 2.1 level AA.

What we have done

  • Semantic page structure with landmarks, headings in order and a “skip to content” link.
  • Full keyboard operation: menu, photo lightbox, forms and the accessibility toolbar can be used without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Text alternatives for every meaningful image; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for large text and controls, in light and dark mode.
  • Text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content; the layout adapts to any screen width.
  • Animations respect the “reduce motion” system setting and can be switched off in the accessibility toolbar.
  • Form fields have visible labels, clear error messages and no time limits.
  • Page language is declared, and each language version links to the others.

Accessibility toolbar

  • The button at the bottom left of every page opens a toolbar with: text size in three steps, letter spacing, line height, a dyslexia-friendly font, high contrast, inverted colours, greyscale, underlined links, highlighted headings, a big cursor, a reading guide, hiding images, stopping animations, and reading the page aloud. Your choices are stored on your device only.

Known limitations

  • Blog articles are currently available in English only.
  • Photo galleries are decorative; the information they convey is also given in text on the villa and amenity pages.
  • Google Maps opens in an external website whose accessibility we do not control.
